Our guineas are currently about equally Pearl Grey and Lavenders.
We keep guineas to eat bugs, alert our other birds to danger, slow down traffic on our road and to eat.
Go to the excellent sites www.guineas.com and www.guineafowl.com for TONS of information on guineas.
We raise all our guineas under hens so that the hens will train the guineas to come into the coop at night.
Our experience with guineas is that they do not like snow.
Ours always seek the highest point (top of the barn or tree) to roost if there is any snow on the ground.
We keep our birds cooped whenever there is snow on the ground.
We sell eggs and keets from day-old to adult.
Prices and terms can be seen at Egg and Duckling Price List.
Please Contact Us for availability.
We generally have guinea eggs available from May through July and birds from June throughout the rest of the fall.
By the end of November we have usually butchered anything we don't plan to winter over.

The 3 India Blue pictures below are of the same male. The first two pictures were taken indoors in 2004.
The copper color in his train shows up beautifully in this light.
The outdoor picture was taken in 2002 and shows the green that you would see in the daylight.
One of the beauties of peas is that their colors seem to change under different types of light.
The white looks like a lace tablecloth when he displays. Unfortunately I haven't been able to catch a good photo of him displaying. Enjoy!
